While teaching all levels of golfers from beginners to Professionals, I believe teaching should be kept simple and fun. Every student is taught at his or her own pace. I truly believe that you can eliminate swing flaws and reinforce the correct swing changes with video, exercises, and training aids. Every student will learn at a faster pace and enjoy the great game of golf.

Teaching Principles:

My teaching philosophy is to keep everything as simple and detailed as necessary to help you meet your own personal goals and expectations. This philosophy includes the usage of the Laws, Principles, and Preferences method. I believe it is important to keep in mind the Laws, which produce ball flight into your teaching system. These include:

  1. club head speed
  2. club head path
  3. club face position
  4. centeredness of contact
  5. angle of approach

I also believe that the recognition of individual differences between students and making successful adjustments to each student is a large part in the art of teaching. In addition, I feel it is important to use a student-centered approach, which will allow you as a teacher to identify a particular students learning style and in return allow you to teach a swing that corresponds with the students physical characteristics.

Teaching Principles:

My #1 goal in teaching the game has always been to get the student be able to advance the ball well enough to have fun playing the game of golf, using the same fundamentals all good teachers use, those being grip, aim, set-up & posture. I also try to make the student aware of what ball position means and the importance it plays in good ball striking, and I am and have always been an advocate of of controlling the swing with the target side of your body.

In addition, I always make EVERY effort to create the desire of all my students to make 70 - 80% of their practice time from within 60 yards of the hole. Anyone who does that cannot help but improve.

I look forward to hearing from you -- let's get started on making your game better!!
