Best ball for the money
Paul L. USN from Conroe, TX | 1/16/2014 5:34 PM
Probably the best 3 piece ball I have tried in over a year (only been playing that long)! Have tried the U6 and the U4, they are on the top 5 of balls I use. The U3 makes the list and is consistent and long. Hit around 270 with the U3 (around 300 with U6/Lethal and 280's with U4). On Tuesday I hit the U3 322 and 326 yds! You won't find a ball with this performance for such a good price!
Not a substitute for premium balls
JR from Iowa City, IA | 8/15/2012 12:13 PM
This U3 is not a substitute for a premium golf ball. The cover has a very cheap feel to the touch. It does not perform around the green. The cover was immediately scuffed from most iron shots. Lastly, it had a terrible feel off the putter... Very cheap and clicky feeling. The ball is fine if you are just looking for something to play and don't need performance from a ball. Distance off the tee means nothing to me, it is the distance from the hole on the 2nd shot and this ball won't cut it.

I was attracted to the idea of tour quality spin on a mid range ball. The first ball I hit off the tee cracked the cover. I thought it was a fluke until I cracked the cover of a 2nd ball in the same round. I haven't cracked the cover on any other ball I've ever hit, including Pro V1 and Pentas. I won't be buying these again.
Matthew K from Naperville, IL | 7/6/2012 10:26 AM
Picked these up the other day to give a new ball a shot, that was a mistake. I was on my 4 shot and the shell cracked. Ok I thought, maybe it was just bad luck. Next ball did the exact same thing, maybe it's just this sleeve, tried a new sleeve. Shell cracked. I don't know anything about the performance because these balls couldn't make it through 3 holes more likely 2 without cracking. I was skeptical of Maxfli before, but now I know to stay away.
Lousy for driving, approaches and putting
nickie9wood from Las Vegas, NV | 6/20/2012 10:53 AM
This ball was recommended to me by a Golf Galaxy associate. I've used the Top Flite D2 FEEL for a couple of years and, while generally happy with the ball, wanted to squeeze a few more yards from my drives. With an 80 mph swing, my drives average 190-210 yards. The GG associate assured me I would get more distance with the Maxfli U/3. Wrong! If anything, I lost distance & the Maxfli was lousy for approach shots and putting. "It's only $24 - what do you have to lose?" he said. Well, I lost $24.
