The PING G20 Tour driver offers a high launch through an aerodynamic head design and a large, forgiving clubface. Distance and accuracy are optimized by an external weight that optimizes the center of gravity position to generate high launch and low spin. The G20’s large, variable-thickness face generates faster ball speeds and increases MOI (Moment of Inertia) for maximum forgiveness.
The 460cc clubhead is made from Ti 8-1-1, a lighter, lower-density alloy. Ti 8-1-1’s high strength-to-weight ratio allows for additional weight to be strategically placed for increasing the MOI on both the vertical and horizontal axes. Weight savings from varying wall thicknesses in the crown and body are positioned to optimize performance and durability.
An external weight positions the CG (Center of Gravity) for high launch and low spin to maximize distance and accuracy.
Large, Forgiving Face
The G20's clubface is larger, creating forgiveness and power across the entire hitting surface.
Aerodynamic Head Design
A key power generator is an aerodynamic 460cc head with reduced drag to increase clubhead speed. External weighting optimizes the CG position to maximize distance.

Great club, I can work it both ways. offers a high launch through an aerodynamic head design and a large, forgiving clubface. Distance and accuracy are optimized by an external weight that optimizes the center of gravity position to generate high launch and low spin.
Nice club to pick up, Bubba Long

Figured it was time to upgrade from my Titleist 983E. Solid feel, good acoustics, if not slightly too load on occasional poor shots. I prefer the tour model shaft due to heavier weight. However, I should not have let the salesman talk me in to the tour stiff. Took it to a local fitter to flew test, way out of my desired range. Tour stiff came up on high side of 7.5 (rifle scale). I should be closer to 6 to take full advantage of my swing.
Regardless, this thing launches. Get your flex correct.
definitely worth the money

It feels solid and has a forgiving face. I added yardage but more importantly I added consistancy. I also switched from a normal stiff shaft to the tour stiff shaft on this G20. Not sure if the club or the shaft added the distance/consistency, I assume they both did. It is well worth the money.
I give it 5 Stars but I don't care about appearance or features. It is a good club.
Awesome Driver if You Don't Want Adjustable
MS_Tank from Missouri, MO | 3/24/2013 7:53 PM
Picked up this driver when it was still $300, but I still think it was a great choice. I have played a G10 for about 5 years, and decided to switch to a 8.5* Tour X-Flex shaft G20 recently. After 3 months of play, I have been hitting 86% of fairways and averaging around 296 yard off the tee. I have dropped 5 from my handicap since the switch. I dont want adjustable, I just wanted a bomb machine, which this is.

I just purchased this from the Houston Willowbrook store and played my first round yesterday and I have never hit so many fairways in regulation. I came in 2nd place in my tournament. I have gained at least 20-30 yards on my drives. Thanks to Bobby there at the store giving me a custom fitting during the Ping Fitting event. I went down to 8.5 tour flex and my shots are not going too high I'm getting a nice roll. I have the whole G20 lineup in my bag now. Ping is the best fitter period!!!
